Cauley Woodrow netted a first half hat-trick as Barnsley won 4-2 at French third tier club Toulon in their second pre-season friendly.
Woodrow put the Reds in front in the first minute but Aapo Halme conceded a penalty for handball so the hosts equalised, then took the lead after 20 minutes.
Woodrow levelled within seconds then a fine move led to Mike Bahre making it 3-2 to the visitors after good work from Cameron McGeehan.
Ben Williams won a penalty which Woodrow converted to complete his hat-trick and put his side 4-2 up at the break.
Daniel Stendel made a raft of changes in the second half, which was a lot quieter except for a penalty won by Luke Thomas who then saw his effort saved.
