TWO schools have received letters of congratulation following their recent Ofsted reports.

Outwood Primary Littleworth Grange and Outwood Primary Academy Darfield each received letters from Rachel Dickinson, executive director responsible for children’s services at Barnsley Council, congratulating them on their recent ‘good’ reports.

The report from Outwood Primary Academy Darfield says: “Pupils are happy and wear their uniform with pride.

“Children are happy in the early years. They feel safe, secure and welcome. Relationships between home and school are strong.”

Alongside this, the school received an ‘outstanding’ for the effectiveness of their leadership and management.

Outwood Primary Academy Littleworth Grange was rated ‘good’ across the board the report said: “Leaders provide clear guidance and communicate high expectations to teachers.

“As a result, teaching and learning across the school, including the early years, is good.”

The letter says: “It’s always encouraging to read of a school that is focused on being both high-performance and inclusive, which is our ambition for all Barnsley schools.”

This is the first time both schools have received an Ofsted inspection since joining the Outwood Grange Academies Trust in 2016.
