A YOUNG Barnsley fan was surprised to wake up yesterday morning to find two players turn up, paint rollers in hand, to help him redecorate his bedroom in the club’s colours.
Season ticket holder George Guest, eight, was entered into a competition run by local firm NG Decor to win the makeover.
And the fan, who also plays for Monk Bretton side Redfearns, got to meet players Victor Adeboyejo and Sam Fielding as they helped redecorate his bedroom in North Street, Darfield.
“I was never a massive football fan but since he’s picked it up we’ve all been dragged into it,” said his dad, also George, 33.
“He loves it. He likes to get there early and watch them train and then when he plays on Sunday morning I notice him nicking their training drills.”
