Barnsley winger Luke Thomas has joined League One Ipswich Town on loan for the remainder of the season. The 21-year-old winger has made 22 appearances this season but has only started three times under Valerien Ismael, coming off the bench in 11 matches. Ismael hinted last week that Thomas would stay for the full season and be given opportunities, but the player is understood to want more game time. Thomas is 18 months into a four-year contract with the Reds, who may now look to replace him with another player in the front three.

Yesterday, another winger Dan Bramall was loaned out to League Two AFC Barrow until the end of the season.
