AN award-winning show - originally filmed for the BBC - is to be shown at the Lamproom Theatre next week.

Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads - a ‘modern classic’ trio of monologues - will be shown every evening from Tuesday until Saturday.

The show will feature ‘darkly comic, tragically poignant and wonderfully uplifting’ performances from three artists.

A Chip in the Sugar will feature Stephen Proctor, Her Big Chance will feature Gaye Shepherd, and A Cream Cracker Under the Settee will feature Mary Creasey.

Jack Land Noble, programming and publicity manager for the theatre, said: “It’s been a hell of an 18 months but thankfully our recent performances have proved to be popular.

“It is really nice to finally be getting back to some sense of normality - and to be welcoming people back to the theatre.”

Tickets can be booked by calling the Lamproom or by visiting their website.
