ALMOST a dozen school places have been offered to young Ukrainian refugees in Barnsley, new figures have revealed.
Figures from the Department for Education show at least 11 Ukrainian pupils have been offered a school place in the town.
Separate date from the Home Office show 79 refugees had been given visas in Barnsley under the Homes for Ukraine scheme, 45 of which have already arrived in the town.
