AN ‘outstanding’ nursery has been lauded by education bosses after bagging a top rating in its first inspection report since the pandemic.

Busy Bees, on Church Street in Penistone, caters for nought to four-year-old children and has 50 kids on its roll.

The venue excelled in the Ofsted report - published this week - having been judged outstanding in all areas from education quality to youngsters’ behaviour.

Inspector Melanie Arnold’s report said: “Children thrive in this nursery due to the care and dedication of the provider and staff team.

“Staff are extremely caring, considerate, and nurturing towards children, who behave well and develop positive attitudes to learning.”

The nursery - which employs 12 members of staff - has now been rated outstanding on four consecutive occasions.

Stella Richardson, from the nursery, added: “This inspection result is a wonderful seal of approval from our regulating body.

“We are proud of this achievement, making our mammoth collective effort very much worthwhile.”
