A POLICE investigation has been launched after a specialist bike was stolen in Wombwell.

On December 29, officers received a call reporting a burglary has occurred on Barnsley Road, between 1am and 3pm.

It is alleged that the offenders had taken a bicycle, valued at £1,500.

The bike is black with a lime green frame.

It has 26 inch wheels, a camouflaged seat and ‘rockshocks’ suspension on the front and ‘fox’ suspension on the rear.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Anyone with information of the bike’s whereabouts or that can assist officers in finding those responsible is asked to contact us online, via live chat or by calling 101 quoting incident number 564 of December 29 2023.”
