SINGING Barnsley welder Lee England impressed Simon Cowell when he took to the X Factor stage.
Lee, from Warwick Mews, Manvers, performed for 4,000 people at Wembley Arena as part of his X Factor audition.
The 41-year-old took wife Teri, mum Carol and children Fredie, seven and Bo, eight for his big audition at the end of July.
He said: "We got there for 1pm and I didn't sing until midnight. I was back at work at 7am that morning and only got in at 4am."
Lee appeared on the Xtra Factor programme on ITV2, and has made it through to the boot camp stage of the competition.
