ADAM Priestley is back living his other life after a dream weekend saw him start against the World Cup winners.

Priestley became the first ever Shaw Lane Aquaforce player to earn an international cap and he did so against the World Cup winners Germany.

Priestley, 24, started for Gibraltar in Faro, Portugal as they lost 7-0 to a full strength German outfit in a European Championship qualifier.

And Priestley, who has joined The Ducks from Farsley Celtic, almost opened up the scoring.

He said: "I had a half chance to score. The ball ricocheted to me and I took a touch before getting a shot away. I had to because the defenders were closing in.

"The keeper (Roman Weidenfeller) got a touch to it. I keep thinking to myself that if I'd have got a cleaner contact then it could have snuck in. It would have been the stuff you dream about."
