WITNESSES to a fatal three-car crash in which two men died are being sought by police.

A 21-year-old man and another aged 57 died following the collision on the Stocksbridge bypass near to the Deepcar turn off on Sunday at about 5.55pm.

Police said a grey Volkswagen Golf, driven by the 21-year-old, and a silver Citroen Picasso, driven by the 57-year-old, collided on the bypass.

It is thought a silver Jeep Cherokee which was travelling behind the Picasso was also involved in the collision

The driver of the Golf was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Picasso driver was taken to hospital and died on Monday morning.

A 37- year-old woman who was a passenger travelling in the Picasso was also taken to hospital where police yesterday said she still remains in a serious condition.
