A CRY for help has been put out by Barnsley Concert Band, which desperately needs to find a new musical director before the end of the year.
The band has been entertaining audiences for more than 40 years at concerts nationwide and even through Europe.
For nearly five years, members have been performing under the guidance of musical director John Turnbull.
But John is standing down, and the band is on the lookout to find a worthy replacement.
