PUPILS with special educational needs from Greenacre School took part in the Panathlon Northern Swimming Final at Ponds Forge in Sheffield this week.
Tuesday’s swimming final brought together nine schools from Lancashire, Teesside, North and South Yorkshire, who had all battled through regional qualifiers to jostle for the title of Northern champions.
Greenacre finished in eighth place overall after ten individual and team races in the international pool, with Blackpool’s Park Community Academy taking home gold.
