SHE'S big in Japan - and is set to get bigger in 2015. That's Barnsley lass Kelsey Ellison, who makes music which is inspired by the Land of the Rising Sun.

And in the new year she's off to meet some of her army of Japanese fans - and hopes to perform for them too. Kelsey, 22, makes videos inspired by Japanese and Korean pop music in her bedroom.

And it's those videos, vlogs and blogs which have helped attract thousands of viewers from all over the world - especially Japan. The girl from High Balk, who works as an administrator at Barnsley Hospital, is off to Japan for two weeks in April. She said: "I'm very excited about it and am looking forward to meeting some of my fans and possibly performing if I can get something arranged."

Kelsey is followed by 52,000 on Youtube and her most popular video has been viewed 800,000 times. She described her success as 'very surreal', and explained: "I kind of forget until I upload a video and they leave amazing comments.  But surprisingly a lot of my viewers are from the UK, Europe, and the US too."

Kelsey has been heavily into into J-pop (Japanese pop) and K-pop (Korean pop) since 2010. She said: "I was looking for a song from a Japanese anime (Japanese animated productions).
