THE Tiny Hearts appeal at Barnsley Hospital got a boost with a £235 donation from the family and friends of Malcolm Price.

Malcolm, 76, died after a battle against cancer and money collected at his funeral has been divided between the Tiny Hearts appeal and Barnsley Macmillan nurses.

The hospital donation was handed over by Malcolm’s widow, Glenys. Malcolm worked at David Brown in Penistone for many years and the couple lived in Penistone and Thurlstone.

In more recent years the couple lived in Pogmoor and then Cundy Cross.

Last year Glenys was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and so she moved to Highgrove care home in Stairfoot in January.

Malcolm spent his last few weeks in the same home, receiving what his family say was ” top class care from the staff”.

His daughter Deborah Webb said: “He is missed by all of us.”
