ONE of the first ever Proud of Barnsley winners has died of a brain tumour, aged 29.
Peter Wilkinson died at home on Hawthorne Street, Barnsley, on Saturday with his wife Debs by his side.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at Silkstone Church, where the couple were married, on November 20 at 4pm.
Instead of flowers at his funeral, Peter has requested charity donations to Weston Park and the Children’s Brain Tumour Research Centre.
