Jacob Mellis, the Reds player with the most league goals this season, will be fit to face former boss Mark Robins' Huddersfield side tomorrow.

Mellis, 22, opened the scoring after four minutes against Hull on Saturday then limped off with a knee problem after the break.

But he has recovered well and is expected to start at the John Smith's Stadium. The goal was Mellis' sixth of the season and, although Craig Davies netted eight times before leaving for Bolton in January, he has now scored more in the league than any other current Barnsley player.

Terriers boss Robins brought Mellis to Oakwell for the first time in 2011 and the midfielder has good memories of the former Barnsley boss. Mellis told the Chronicle: "He is a great manager. He always used to encourage me and tell me to be creative so I have good memories of playing under him.

"Huddersfield is a massive game on the last day of the season and it's a derby as well. We haven't pressed the panic button yet and we won't now. We had to win against Hull and we did, now we will win against Huddersfield."
