SIX local charities have received a share of £100,000 from Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation after being nominated by people in Barnsley and Penistone.
Barnsley Blind and Partially Sighted Association, RADAR Dog Rescue and Romero Communities Centre were given £100 each after being nominated at the Barnsley branch during Small Change Big Difference month.
Daisy Chains Pre-School at Thurlstone, Oakwell Business Centre-based Home-Start South Yorkshire and Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team were given £100 each after being nominated at the Penistone branch.
