WEDDINGS have been thrown into disarray following the demise of Wentworth Castle Gardens.

A lack of money has forced bosses of the parkland, which dates to the 18th century, to close to the public, which includes the luxury Victorian conservatory wedding venue.

The attraction’s website yesterday said it is no longer accepting bookings for weddings.

The trust which manages the attraction has said it is attempting to honour all wedding and celebratory events that have been booked for this year but anyone with bookings beyond 2017, or those that had been considering getting married there in future, will have to change their plans.
