PLANS for 19 apartments above a hairdressing salon, Italian restaurant and the former Soul Lounge pub have been submitted to the council.
PRA1 Ltd, based in London, has applied for a change of use of former offices on the first, second and third level of 20 to 30 Shambles Street and Yorkshire House.
Soul Lounge closed suddenly in October but has since reopened in the nearby former Funky Buddha.
Yorkshire House was previously used as a temprary home for the council during the closure of the Town Hall while it was refurbished and lower floors were converted into a museum.

It’s our belief that news should be available to everyone regardless of their circumstance. But we need a little helping hand to do so.
Production Editor, Ashley Ball, said: "In an ever changing media world, it’s important that news is reported correctly and without any hidden agenda.
Your support allows us to keep holding decision-makers to account and report on everything that happens in the town, good or bad, fairly."
