Man arrested after incident in Monk Bretton last night

A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill a woman and two children in Monk Bretton.
Police negotiators were called to Fish Dam Lane at 11.44pm last night following reports that a woman and two children were in danger.
The street was closed while officers and negotiators carried out their work.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police, said: “A 45-year-old man, who is known to the victims, was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill and affray, and remains in police custody.
“The woman and children were unharmed but taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution.”
