OUR photographers are currently working on getting around all of Barnsley’s primary schools and taking photos of every new starter. The photos will start to be published in next Friday’s newspaper.
Every year our photographers visit the town’s 90-plus primary schools to produce the souvenir for families of all the little ones as they start their school life.
Next week, Silkstone Common Primary, Thurgoland, Oxspring, Springvale, Penistone St John’s, Thurlstone, Millhouse and Hoylandswaine will be featured.
We have been at the heart of our community, every week, since 1858. The town and its people have changed dramatically since then but the Chronicle has been a constant.
It’s our belief that news should be available to everyone regardless of their circumstance. But we need a little helping hand to do so.
