THE Secretary of State for Education officially opened Barnsley College’s new £7.8m state-of-the-art Digital Innovation Hub yesterday.
Nadhim Zahawi received a tour of the town centre SciTech building alongside with local MPs and leaders.
Nadhim said: “From what I have seen on my tour I can see this a spectacular place - a wonderful place.
“I’m not at all surprised that the college has an outstanding Ofsted rating.
“What I really admire most is how the building and teaching has been tailored to what students need.
“I am so impressed what has been done in Barnsley - I can see that this college is what a college of the future will look like.”
