TWO Barnsley residents hit the jackpot after winning £30,000 each in the People’s Postcode Lottery.
The Reasbeck Terrace neighbours scooped the £30,000 prize after S71 1NW was announced as a winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on October 13.
Judie McCourt, the Postcode Lottery ambassador, said: “Congratulations to our winners in Barnsley. I hope they had a great weekend celebrating and enjoy spending their prize money.”
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have helped raise more than £486m to date for good causes across Britain and internationally.
This draw was promoted on behalf of Postcode Education Trust, which provides financial support to charities that encourage, inspire and support education and learning in Britain.
Local Barnsley projects have benefited too, such as DIAL Barnsley. The charity recently received £9,500 to grow the skills of local disabled people through training and support, so they in turn can support others in their community.
