A MUCH-loved family pet has returned home in time for Christmas - but with a £1,000 bill and a 'doggie ASBO'.

Ryan Fleming's dog Tonka was confiscated by police in September after being identified as a 'pit bull type'. Ryan thought he was a Staffordshire bull terrier boxer cross when he got him as a pup five years ago and was terrified he'd have to be put to sleep.

Tonka was given a pardon by the court and is now on the dangerous dogs register. He's had to be neutered, his ID number tattooed on his leg, and Ryan has to take out third party liability insurance for him.
