A MOTORIST who fitted CCTV cameras inside his car to protect himself in the event of an accident says he has inadvertently caught staff at a garage lying about work they had - or hadn’t - done to his car.
Imran Razaq took his Mercedes C250 CDI to Halfords Autocentre at Stairfoot on Saturday because his air conditioning had stopped working.
He left the car there all day but when he went to pick it up in the afternoon was told the technicians there couldn’t find anything wrong.
“I asked the guy ‘have you really checked the car’ and he said ‘I’ve checked it myself, everything is fine’,” said Imran, 41, of Lane Head Close, Staincross.
“When he was sat face to face with me, I had no reason to doubt it.
“He said to bring it back in the week and they’d take another look.”
