BBC MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace will be on TV next week showing viewers around the world’s biggest mince pie factory - in Barnsley.
It’s the first time the BBC Two series Inside the Factory has featured a Christmas special and presenter Gregg will be following how the Mr Kipling mince pie is made at Premier Foods’ bakery in Carlton.
The bakery is expecting to produce more than 180 million mince pies this year - the most ever.
During the programme, Gregg will be seen helping the team throughout the production process, from unloading key ingredients such as flour, sugar and sultanas, making the pastry dough, cooking the mincemeat, baking, testing and packing the pies, and then loading them up in the lorry as they make their way onto supermarket shelves.
