BARNSLEY Youth Choir arrived back in Barnsley yesterday after impressing audiences - and wowing some of the world’s best singers - at an international singing festival in Sweden.

“It was incredibly stressful but the trip ended up being a resounding success,” said musical director Mat Wright.

In the last couple of years the choir has had success in international competitions. But this trip wasn’t competitive and was purely about performing ‘at the very highest level’.
