A NURSE will be on hand to answer questions about cancer as part of a roadshow kicking off in Barnsley today to help people spot signs of the disease.

The roadshow is being held at the Alhambra centre until tomorrow and is part of the new Public Health England ‘Be Clear on Cancer’ campaign, supported by Barnsley Council and Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group, which buys in health services for the borough.

The roadshow aims to raise awareness that a persistent cough or getting out of breath doing everyday things could be a sign of heart disease, lung cancer or other lung diseases. There will be a range of information available and a nurse will be answering any questions people may have about the disease.
