A COUPLE of PoleFit Instructors went to infinity and beyond and won first prize at the Lincolnshire Pole Championships.
Sheryl Moore, who is the co-owner of JUSTDANCE Studios, at Sandygate, Wath, and Gemma Barrett, who is a pole instructor there, put on a Toy Story themed performance dressed as Woody and Buzz Lightyear.
The two ladies were joined by some of the public’s favourite characters in the films, including Mr Potato Head, Rex and the Aliens.
Sheryl and Gemma started training together in 2014 for their in-house studio tours and took it to the next level this year by entering their first competition as a double act.
Both ladies said they were overwhelmed by winning the competition, which took place in Skegness on February 3.
“Training over the winter months has proved difficult,” said Sheryl.
“It was always freezing and not easy to keep pushing through, we challenged ourselves with all new doubles moves both on and off the pole and couldn’t be happier with the outcome.”
The ladies will be showcasing their next studio show which they will also feature in with their winning routine on Sunday, April 14 at The Academy Theatre in Birdwell, Barnsley.
