A DISUSED railway bridge is to be removed next month so Stagecoach can run double-decker buses on the road beneath.

At present, only a single deck bus can travel through Cudworth as a double-decker can't fit underneath the bridge over Barnsley Road. Stagecoach says higher demand means double-decker services are needed.

The road at either side of the bridge will be closed from March 6 at 8pm until March 9 at 6am, and at the same times from March 13 until March 16.

The road will again be closed from March 27 until March 30. A final closure runs from April 3 until April 6.
