THOUSANDS of pounds worth of equipment has been stolen in a raid by thieves on Goldthorpe Primary.

The school has a big focus on outdoor learning, with animals and vegetable gardens for the children to manage and learn about.

Goldthorpe Primary outdoor education teacher Christopher Wharton-Lovett said: “We are talking thousands of pounds for what has been taken.”

“An investigation is currently ongoing and any witnesses are asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 121 of 11 September.”
