Football matches on all council pitches have been cancelled this weekend because of wet weather.
The council's rain-soaked sporting facilities have been deemed unplayable.
A council spokesman said: "They're waterlogged after incessant rainfall and we're expecting more."
Matches may still take place on privately-owned pitches.
