FREE eye tests are being offered at an optician in Barnsley after a report revealed that more than six million adults across the UK have never had a sight test.
They are being offered at iVision Opticians, on Peel Square, until the end of October.
Jeremy Turner, co-founder of iVision, said: "People often take the importance of routine eye tests for granted and put it off for months or even years, which can lead to serious health problems.
"By taking away the cost of an eye test for October we're hoping that more people are encouraged to come and get their eyes tested – if we can improve one person's eye health this month, it will be worth it."
