PROTEST group the Freedom Riders will celebrate a full year of campaigning on Tuesday by holding another protest.

The group, which is fighting for the return of free train travel and free bus travel before 9.30am for pensioners, will meet at the train station at 11am.

They will then make their way through the interchange, rally at the front of the bus station and then march through town.

Speakers include their old ally, Tosh Macdonald, president of train drivers' union ASLEF, and Paul Russell, Yorkshire regional secretary of the National Pensioners' Convention.
