The speculation over Barnsley head coach Paul Heckingbottom's future at Oakwell has ended after Sunderland appointed Wales manager Chris Coleman as manager.
The Black Cats, who are bottom of the Championship, had considered the Reds boss for their vacant manager's position but moved on after discovering Heckingbottom had major doubts about joining them.
He will instead lead his hometown club in their away match at Carrow Road against Norwich City tomorrow.
