A WOMBWELL mum is trying to raise £2,000 for a trike which could change her daughter’s life.

Joanne Clark, 25, of Hadfield Street, is trying to raise the money to help six-year-old Keira.

Keira suffers from severe epilepsy, severe global developmental delay, severe hypermobility and poor dexterity in all her joints. Her condition means she finds it difficult to walk unassisted and restricts her being able to play with friends and family.

Joanne’s hope is that the trike will let Keira spend time and make memories with her stepfather Thomas and siblings Leayla, three, and Aaron, five.

Yesterday Keira was visited by staff from the trike manufacturers, Gloucester-based Tomcat, who assessed her needs. The trike will take 12 weeks to make.

The fundraising campaign to help Keira get a trike can be found at www.gofundme.com/GetkeiraATrike.
