A WOMAN found dead in a village post office prompting two arrests on suspicion of murder has been named by police.

Police officially named the woman as Deborah Jane Neale, who lived above the Barnsley Road shop, whose body was discovered at about 11.15pm on April 19.

Two men, aged 34 and 57, were released under investigation as enquires continued into the death.

A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive and further tests to determine exactly how she died are underway, police confirmed on Wednesday, while her family released a picture of the 60-year-old.

A police spokesman said: “Detectives are continuing with their enquiries and are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw Miss Neale on April 19, so they can establish where she had been earlier that day, what she had been doing and who she was with.”
