TESCO has been praised for supporting a Christmas party for children in foster care in Barnsley for a third year.
Lisa Hammond from Tesco in the Community has been collecting sweet treats for children who are currently in foster care to enjoy at a Christmas party.
Carlo van de Watering, from the Association of Barnsley Foster Carers, said: “We are absolutely delighted that Lisa and Tesco have supported us again this year. There are over 100 children in local authority foster care and it’s important that we, as an association, organise these events to bring them all together.
“Many of our children have lived through trauma and it’s important for them to spend time with other children with similar experiences.
“Barnsley Council are always looking for new Barnsley foster carers for Barnsley children. It’s important to keep them in this area.”
