A BRUTAL thug who was jailed for at least 33 years for the savage and brutal murder of a Barnsley grandmother deserves every day of his term, top judges have ruled.

Doreen Walker, 75, had shown Liam Aaron Naylor nothing but kindness, giving him food and cigarettes and letting him visit her Cudworth home. But in a merciless attack last April, the 24-year-old repaid that kindness by murdering her with more than 40 blows of a knife.

He was convicted of murder and jailed for at least 33 years at Sheffield Crown Court.

He appealed for the sentence to be cut, but has been told by three of the country's top judges it was exactly what he deserved.
