THIS week is the second chance to vote in the 2014 Barnsley Chronicle Baby Competition.

All entrants were featured in a special souvenir supplement in last week's Barnsley Chronicle.

There will be one more chance next week to cast votes in the first round.

The eventual winner will receive a cheque for £300 and a Free Champagne Occasions 7x1 boxed advert for each of the child's birthdays up to and including their 18th and we'll also provide a framed canvas poster print of the winning child from a still taken by the Barnsley Chronicle's own photographers.

Two runners-up will each receive cheques for £100, framed canvas poster prints of their children and a free Champagne Occasions 7x1 box ad for their child's next birthdays.

There are three ways to Vote using the four-digit pin given for each child in last week's supplement:1) By post – cut out the voting coupon and send to the address shown. (Photocopies not accepted.)2) By SMS – using your mobile phone text the keyword BCBC then a space and the four-digit pin of the child you wish to vote for and send to 64343.3) By touch tone phone – dial 0901 299 6050 and when asked to do so, key in the four-digit pin of the child you wish to vote for, using your telephone keypad.

The closing date for all first round votes is 3pm on October 7. The 30 finalists will appear in the Barnsley Chronicle on October 17.Texts cost £1 plus standard network rates. Children whose ages exceed two years as of September 19, 2014 are excluded from the competition. Winners will be asked to produce the birth certificate of the child to prove eligilility. The prizes are as stated. Readers may vote as many times as they like but photocopied coupons will not be accepted. Votes can only be cast via the paid for telephone and SMS services OR by the in-paper coupon option. Coupons from the newspaper may be dropped in at the Barnsley Chronicle offices to save on postage charges. Posted coupons must have the correct postage paid in full. Proof of post does not constitute proof of receipt. Votes cast after the voting deadlines will not be counted but may be charged. If voting via the telephone method, you must have the bill payer's permission. The Barnsley Chronicle reserves the right to withdraw or exclude any child from this competition without prior notice if the goodwill or integrity of the competition is deemed to have been breached in any way and no correspondence will be entered into. The 30 entrants that poll the highest number of votes will progress to the final, where once again reader votes will determine the winners. Votes from the first round will be carried forward and added to those cast in the final. In the event of a tie in the first round, more children will progress to the final. If there is a tie on total overall votes, then the winner will be the child who polled the most from the final round. If there is a still a tie, then we'll count-back to the first round and use coupon votes first, telephone votes second. If 'count-back' is also tied, then prizes will be shared accordingly.Whilst every effort is made to make sure that entrants names are spelled correctly, on occasions mistakes can happen. If your child's name does contain an error, please let us know so we can correct it in a future issue.
