A WOMAN who said she felt pressured into paying a £50 fine for not picking up her dog’s mess even though she knew she wasn’t responsible has received an apology from the enforcement officers who fined her.
Jan Hinchliffe was visited at her home by an officer from Kingdom Security, on behalf of the council, who told her he had CCTV showing Jan letting springer spaniel Scamp leave mess which she didn’t clear up.
“I knew I hadn’t done it,” said Jan, 74, of Station Road, Dodworth. “I always carry bags with me everywhere I go, and whenever I see anyone else’s dog leave mess, I’ll ask them if they’ve got a bag and if they haven’t, give them one.”
