A BRIDE and groom who renewed their wedding vows on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh were treated to an impromptu performance by Barnsley Youth Choir.

The choir had been performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival - the biggest arts festival in the world.

They were handing out flyers on the Royal Mile to advertise their show when they came across the couple and started to sing All of Me by John Legend.

Mat Wright, the choir’s musical director, said: “It certainly wasn’t planned. As part of the experience of Edinburgh, you go on the Royal Mile and ‘flyer’. We arrived one morning to find a wedding taking place. It was a lovely event.

“The choir started to sing All of Me and the couple came over and the bride was crying. A crowd had gathered not just to watch the wedding, but to watch the choir too.

“The couple came to see our show on Tuesday night.”
