THE new president of Barnsley Rotary club wants new members of both sexes and of all ages, but especially the young.
Former town centre bobby Martin Colman has already booked lots of comedy acts to entertain the Rotarians over the next 12 months and is urging those who thought Rotary might not be for them to think again.
Martin joined just four years ago and admits even he had a preconception about the organisation and its members.
“For some reason people do think of it as a club for respectable gentlemen and as a bit stuffy, whereas in fact that couldn’t be further from the truth,” he said.
