Second arrest made in connection to Athersley stabbing

A SECOND arrest has been made in connection to a stabbing in Athersley on Friday.
A 41-year-old woman from Barnsley has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender following the death of 43-year-old Stephen Riley in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Earlier today (Sunday, June 28) a 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
A spokesperson from South Yorkshire Police said: "If you were in the Athersley area on Friday night and saw anything suspicious, please call 101.
"The incident number to quote is 1227 of June 26."
