KIDS have been picking up buckets and spades and enjoying Barnsley by the sea.
This week and next week part of the town centre has become a beach as the seaside is brought to the town centre Cheapside.
The idea is to attract more shoppers and visitors and to create a lively buzzing atmosphere.
So tons of clean play sand has been delivered to create a beach on the former open market area next to the pedestrian precinct for people to sit and play on.
