A WOMAN is confident she has come up with a small idea which could help solve Goldthorpe’s banking crisis.
The village was left with no bank when the branch of the Yorkshire Bank closed soon after the Natwest last year.
It sent a lot of local people, particularly pensioners, into turmoil as very few have access to online banking, and branches in Wath and Mexborough were deemed too far to travel to.
But Heather Bottomley believes she may well have found a solution - with a new leaflet advising people on how they can bank at the post office.
