A WISH is coming true for the DCMWS Theatrical Society at the Dearne Playhouse as the group prepares to stage a milestone pantomime.
The Dearne Community Miners’ Welfare Society has been staging pantos in Goldthorpe for 70 years, and this year is no different - with the group rehearsing for its own twist on the tale of Aladdin.
Martin Colman is playing the genie, and said the panto has become an annual community event.
“It has been an annual event now going on 70 years, but obviously the cast has had to change from time to time,” said Martin.
