A BAIL house resident has been kicked out after neighbours reacted angrily to a night of lewd and unruly behaviour.

Residents in Pye Avenue, Mapplewell, said life is made a misery by goings-on in the three bedroom property which is used to house those on bail awaiting trial or on a home detention curfew.

Police confirmed they received four calls on Wednesday night after complaints the resident let off a fire extinguisher in the street, covering cars - and CCTV cameras at the property - in foam.

One resident, who asked not to be named, said: "Once it had run out he was just chucking the extinguisher up in the air and letting it crash back down on the ground.

"He's supposed to be there on his own, but he had his mate living there with him. They're totally unsupervised and there's nobody to get hold of when they're causing trouble."

The campaign to try and get the home shut down began in June after complaints lewd behaviour, threats, and abuse from those living there.

Jolan Gergely, head of BASS which runs the hostel, said: "We do not tolerate antisocial behaviour and we'll always take action to tackle it. In this case we have immediately revoked the service user's accommodation."
