A BIKE shop could be turned into ten bedsits if proposals are given the go ahead by planning officials.
Applicant Richard Maxwell, of Hoyland, wants to convert the Race Scene bike shop on Sheffield Road into bedsits with shared facilities, which is known as an HMO, or house of multiple occupation.
Plans show the lower ground floor would have one bedsit along with a kitchen area and plant room. A further four bedsits would be created on the upper ground floor, with four on the first floor and further bedsit on the second floor of the building.
Comments on the proposals will be accepted until today and a decision is expected by December 8.
